When Float imports data from your accounting platform any categories that contain transactions will automatically be added into the cash flow table.
Any categories that don’t have values (or are ‘empty’) are stored in Category Manager where they can be manually added into your main cash flow table.
To add in one of these categories simply go to Category Manager and hit the ‘Add category’ option. Here you will be shown a list of all the available categories from your accounting platform that can be added to the cash flow. Once added, the new category can be added to a group and budgeted against in the same way as a category with a value.
If a category isn’t in the cash flow and a new transaction is assigned to it in the accounting platform, it will automatically be added into the cash flow on the next sync, no need to manually add.
